Water levels continued to drop steadily, opening up new channels and shallow areas ideal for targeting large fish. The water retained a slight hint of mud, typical as levels adjust, but remained clear enough for productive fishing.

Week 7 at Pirarucu Lodge offered a unique blend of fishing adventure and family exploration. Our group of eight American guests included three dedicated anglers, while the rest of the family members were captivated by the Amazon’s remarkable wildlife. The Pirarucu Reserve, the world’s largest arapaima sanctuary, served as the ultimate stage for those in pursuit of trophy fish and those simply seeking the untouched beauty of the jungle.
