Mamirauá reserve
Pirarucú is located within the Mamirauá Reserve about 600 km. west of Manaus-Brazil in a complex of lakes and channels between the Solimoes River and Japura River. The Mamirauá Reserve was the first Sustainable Development Reserve in Brazil, legislated by the Government of Amazonas in 1996, and remains the largest arapaima reserve in the world.
Easy Logistics
Pirarucú is the easiest logistical jungle destination available. The access from Manaus is easy with a fast and convenient 50 minute commercial jet flight to Tefé. Then, a fast boat will transport you to the lodge (1h). With this easy access we can custom build packages from 2 to 7 nights and also create great combination possibilities with our other lodges during the season.
